3 Ingredient Biscuits
Yes, only 3 ingredients are needed to make these perfectly guilt free biscuits! I can honestly say that I've never made biscuits from scratch before, so I was a little nervous about trying this for the first time. I'm not really sure why I've never made them before. Perhaps I had it in my mind that they were supposed to be daily difficult and taxing. I've made plenty of other breads, rolls, cakes, etc... So why not biscuits?
These were super easy and I was entirely surprised and thrilled with how well they turned out! Especially considering that they only took 3 ingredients and about 10 minutes of preparing. That's it!
While I made my biscuits pretty plain and basic today, you could always add an additional ingredient to make them your own. Blueberries for a morning surprise. Shredded cheddar and chives for a savory twist on a southwest inspired brunch. Or even maybe some crushed rosemary and minced garlic for a treat at dinner!
Or... you could always add nothing and all for a standard and classic biscuit to butter and indulge a bit in.
These biscuits were great merely being paired with one of my favorite preserves that I happened to have on hand, Marion-berry Blackberry from Oregon.
I'm a sucker for jelly, jam, and preserves. What can I say?
Oh! And these biscuits were also fabulous with this fun 'southwest' style gravy that I whipped up while my biscuits were cooling. I didn't manage to post the recipe for the gravy just yet. But, keep checking back as I'm planning on making it again in the coming weeks with the recipe to follow!
Anyway, don't be scared to use these biscuits in any way that you would use any other traditional biscuit!
Really, if you didn't know any better - you wouldn't think that they were any different at all.
