Healthified Cowboy Turkey Burgers & Ranch Slaw

These aren't your average turkey burgers. They have a spicy kick that could cause a grown cowboy to kick his spurs up and do a jig!

We're talkin' 1/4 lb. patties that are comprised of extra lean ground turkey that is full of 'yee-haw'ing good things such as onion, cilantro, bacon, hot sauce, jalapeño and even sharp cheddar! Top it all off with a homemade creamy cool ranch slaw and you've quite literally got a meal on a bun!​

​The amount of jalapeño is entirely based on personal preference and just how hot your jalapeños are. We ended up using 1 1/2 jalapeños, which ended up being about perfect for our Texan mouths.

And yes, I even snuck some shredded carrots into the patties! Shh... I promise no one will ever be the wiser. Really, the carrots are entirely unnoticeable to the tastebuds.

Make the patties and slaw ahead of time and keep covered in the fridge to grill when you're ready!

I was out at my parent's place today and she had this amazing jalapeño mustard leftover from some sandwiches made for my daughter's birthday party a few weeks ago, so naturally I had to put that atop my burger as well.
