Easy peasy homemade biscuits made with just three ingredients and a few minutes of hands on time. Perfectly fluffy and delicious!

Ingredients

  • 2 C. Self-Rising Flour
  • 1 1/2 C. Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 Tsp. Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475 degrees F., line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat, and lightly dust a clean counter with some flour.
  2. Place the 2 C. Self-Rising Flour, 1 1/2 C. Heavy Cream, and 1/2 Tsp. Salt into a medium bowl and sort combine.
  3. Turn the dough out onto the prepared counter top and form into a rectangle that's about 2" thick.
  4. Fold it into thirds, turn 1/4 and fold again. Do this three more times.
  5. Cut biscuits with a 3" biscuit cutter. Press down and bring the cutter straight up. Do not twist the cutter.
  6. Pat excess dough out, cut, repeat until all the dough is used up.
  7. Place the biscuits onto the prepared baking sheet and place in the oven to bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Once done, remove from the oven and enjoy right away.

Notes

2 C. Self-Rising Flour may be replaced with 2 C. All-Purpose Flour, 1 Tbsp. Baking Powder, and 1/2 Tsp. Salt.

Vegetarian Cheeseburger Crunch Wraps

April 11, 2023 Amanda Plott

Who doesn’t love a good crunch wrap? While they’re tasty from the taco franchise that we all love to hate and hate to love, you can absolutely make them at home quickly, easily, and in a way that is sooo much better for you. Today I doubled down and flipped the script making a crunch wrap that not only had a cheeseburger twist, but is also meatless!

These Vegetarian Cheeseburger Crunch Wraps are layered very similar to a standard taco crunch wrap except I’ve used cheeseburger toppings and condiments in lieu of taco ones. We’re talking pickle, ketchup, mustard, burger ‘meat’, cheese, and even lettuce and tomato too…

English Muffin Loaf

December 26, 2022 Amanda Plott

A day late, but we’re going to blame it on the Holiday. Today I have for you, this English Muffin Loaf! It’s an english muffin in the form of a loaf of bread. It’s sliceable and yumable just the same as an english muffin, except you don’t have to tend to it like you would if you were making homemade english muffins.

The loaf is full of nooks and crannies just like a proper english muffin, and I really want to try to cut it in half lengthwise and make some sort of breakfast sandwich on the entire loaf. But, for now all we’re doing is the loaf itself…

PA Dutch Chicken Pot Pie

December 22, 2022 Amanda Plott

So I was talking to a good friend of mine the other day about ‘comfort food’ and they brought up the fact that they grew up with their mom calling chicken and dumplings ‘chicken pot pie’. Fast forward a few days and I came across PA Dutch Chicken Pot Pie - which I thought was funny since my friend who mentioned chicken pot pie is from PA. Of course I immediately sent the recipe to my friend for them to confirm and low and behold it was exactly what his mom used to make.

It sounded pretty tasty and it’s cold out here so I thought I would give it a try and put my healthified spin on it. So that’s exactly what I did!…
