There really isn’t much you can do here to lighten these up since there’s just a few ingredients involved. Literally. Bananas. Peanut butter. Chocolate. These are great to have on hand for a hearty snack for yourself or the kiddos. It’s a sweet treat that also comes with several textures and even some salty goodness!
Chunky Monkey Bananas
Ingredients
- 3 Large Bananas
- 1 Jar (15 Oz.) Extra Chunky Peanut Butter (Only using half.)
- 8 Oz. Dark Chocolate Melts
- 6 Popsicle Sticks
Instructions
- Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Peel and cut each banana in half and skewer the halves onto popsicle sticks.
- Place the bananas onto the baking set and set them in the freezer for 2 hours.
- When two hours is up, remove the lid from the peanut butter and microwave for 30 seconds. Give it a good stir. If it's not liquid enough, microwave it for another 15-30 seconds.
- Melt the 8 Oz. Dark Chocolate Melts according to package directions.
- Dip the frozen banana halves into the melted peanut butter then into the melted dark chocolate.
- Set them on the parchment paper and allow the chocolate to harden. You can also set these in the fridge to chill as well.
- Enjoy right away or place in the freezer for up to 3 days.
