The air fryer does all the magic, locking in moisture while keeping the calories in check. Perfect for a cozy family meal or a delightful dinner party, this recipe proves that delicious and healthy can be a match made in culinary heaven. I served mine with some roasted root veggies and brussels sprouts, but this would also be good paired with some wild rice or even a fun fall salad. Or AS a part of a fall salad! Either way you go about it, this is a perfect part of a dinner with plenty pf warmth and flavor piled into such a simple dish.

Maple Mustard Air Fried Chicken

Bursting with a delightful harmony of sweet and tangy flavors from pure maple syrup and zesty mustard, this dish serves up a crispy, golden exterior that's as satisfying as traditional fried chicken—without the guilt!

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. Grainy or Dijon Mustard
  • 3 Tbsp. Maple Syrup
  • 1 Tsp. Dried Rosemary
  • 1 Large Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
  • Salt & Pepper to Taste

Instructions

  1. Mix together the 3 Tbsp. Grainy or Dijon Mustard, 3 Tbsp. Maple Syrup, 1 Tsp. Dried Rosemary, and Salt & Pepper to taste in a medium bowl together.
  2. Place the 1 Large Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast into a gallon ziplock bag and pound it out to be about 1/4-1/2" thick.
  3. Pour about half of the maple mustard mix into the bag, seal it again, and toss to coat the chicken evenly.
  4. Remove the chicken and transfer to the basket of the air fryer.
  5. Set to cook at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
  6. Flip the chicken over and continue to cook for another 10 minutes or until nearly to temperature.
  7. Flip once more back to the original side and cook for 5 minutes more or until cooked through.
  8. Once done, remove from the air fryer, cut in half, and serve right away with a drizzle of the remaining maple mustard sauce to enjoy!
