Black & Blueberry Smoothie

It’s a short, sweet, and simple one today!

This Black & Blueberry Smoothie is quick and so SO easy to make with just a handful of simple ingredients and a quick whirl around in the blender. This has been one of my go-to breakfasts for about two weeks now. And let me just say, that I’ve never been one to be that big into smoothies before. I’ve always preferred to eat my meals as opposed to drinking them.

But when it comes to this smoothie? I am totally fine with drinking it. In fact, it’s probably one of my all time favorite things for breakfast right now. It fills me up and gives me plenty of energy to get through the day.

Using the greek yogurt here really gives an needed boost to the protein here while the banana gives the smoothie plenty of sweetness without having to add any sugar in. The berries? Well, you could really use any berries (or other fruit) of choice. But, the blackberries and blueberries are a couple of my favorites.

And besides… look how pretty it makes the smoothie?

Like the straw? My daughter is on a ‘save the turtles’ sort of kick so we’re no longer using plastic straws in the house. Metal ones it is. But, if I’ve got to use a metal straw, you better know that it’s going to be ‘unicorn’ colored.

A healthy smoothie that is perfect for a breakfast, lunch, or even as a snack! Loaded with protein, and lots of fresh fruit.

The Skinny:
Servings: 1 • Serving Size: 1 Smoothie • Calories: 270 • Fat: 9 g • Saturated Fat: 5 g • Carb: 40 g • Fiber: 6 g • Protein: 13 g • Sugar: 25 g • Sodium: 72 mg

Ingredients:
• 1 (5.3 Oz.) Container 100 Calorie Vanilla Greek Yogurt
• 1 Banana
• 1/4 C. Fresh Blackberries
• 1/4 C. Fresh Blueberries
• 5 Ice Cubes

Directions:
Place all the ingredients into a blender or food processor and puree down into a creamy smoothie!

Enjoy right away.
