Burger Bowls

September 18, 2021 Amanda Plott

Coming in LATE today with these Burger Bowls. What is it? A burger? A bowl? The answer is YES. These are bowls made out of burger and then loaded up with all the burger goodness you know and love. Lettuce, cheese, pickles, etc. It’s all here in one beefy bowl.

One of the best parts of these burger bowls is that they are so SO easy to make and still look wildly impressive. It’s one of those super clever ways of serving dinner that kids and adults will both be able to enjoy and make their own with their own toppings.

These burger bowls are so good and cute that you won’t even miss the buns. I kept these burger bowls light by keeping the ingredients to a minimal and super simple. You could also make these with lean ground turkey instead if you wanted to have an even leaner cut of meat.

I served my bowls with some kettle cooked chips and more sliced pickles, but feel free to serve with your favorite burger pairing!

Sort of an inside out burger. The bowl is made out of burger meat and is then filled with all the toppings you'd find on a burger, lettuce, cheese, tomato, etc!

Ingredients

Burger Bowl
  • 1 Lb. Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire
  • Salt & Pepper to Taste
Burger Bowl Filling
  • 4 1/5 C. Shredded Lettuce
  • 3 Tbsp. Shredded Cheddar
  • 1 Tomato, Sliced or Diced
  • 1/2 C. Sliced Dill Pickles
  • 3 Tbsp. Ketchup
  • 3 Tbsp. Mustard

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with foil or a silicone baking mat; set aside.
  2. Mix together the 1 Lb. meat with 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire and salt & pepper to taste.
  3. Divide the meat into three equal pieces and form into a bowl shape.
  4. Fold some foil and wrap it around the burger bowl to help the meat hold its shape while it cooks.
  5. Place the bowls onto the prepared baking sheet and set in the fridge to chill for about 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. and place the baking sheet into the oven to bake for about 30 minutes.
  7. Once done, remove the bowls from the oven and allow to cool slightly before filling each with # lettuce, and cheddar, tomatoes, and pickles divided evenly.
  8. Drizzle with ketchup and mustard to enjoy!
